Sam Machour serves as the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of the Bio Investments Group. Mr. Machour leads the execution of the company’s mission to accelerate the Global South’ vaccines and biologics self-reliance efforts through targetted vaccines, biologics and in-vitro diagnostics innovation, technology and know how transfer and localisation. Prior to joining the Bio Investments Group, Mr. Machour served as Executive Vice President, Quality and member of the Executive Committee at Samsung Biologics Korea.

Sam’s career spans over 35 years spent supporting major life-science companies worldwide, including the top 5 global pharma & MedTech, leading various functional areas - operations, business strategy and execution, business development, M&A and quality and regulatory compliance, in North America, Europe, APAC.

In 2020, alongside his role at Samsung Biologics, Mr. Machour lead, in collaboration, with the Moroccan Government, and at their request, the international procurement and supply assurance of Covid vaccines to the Kingdom of Morocco securing much needed covid vaccine doses on time and allowing the Kingdom to execute its covid vaccination campaign earlier than most countries in North America, Europe and Asia.

Sam Machour serves in various profit and non-profit Boards and is Vice-Chairman of the Geroge Mason University Advisory Board supporting education and students achieve their potential in Korea.

Sam Machour is a graduate and an alumni of Concordia University, Harvard University and the Harvard JFK School of Government.
